We found an amazing online ASL course for homeschoolers that has helped her learn so much, and she enjoys it, too!

From a parent's perspective, this ASL I class is top notch. It is formatted and presented in a way that keeps students engaged and helps them learn.

It's tempting to think that a self-paced course, especially one that's video-based, would offer little opportunity for engagement or interaction, but that hasn't been true of our experience with this ASL program. Signing along with the videos is a great place to start, but the homework assignments even require video uploads of your student signing. It really is an interactive spin on self-paced learning.

Thia, the teacher, repeats the signs as she's teaching new vocabulary, giving lots of practice opportunity. Plus it's video, so you can always watch the recording as many times as needed. She does an amazing job and you can't help but love her.

After they took their first lesson, they came to me showing what they had learned. I was amazed. Within a couple of weeks, they were communicating with each other. These classes were extremely effective, and I was happily surprised at how well they were learning.

Ellawyn has been thoroughly enjoying this course. I frequently see her practicing around the house, using the signs she's learned while she talks to us.

My favorite thing about this course is the feedback she receives after submitting her video assignment. Her teacher is fluent in ASL and gives her quick feedback about hand placement and any tips to work on.
